Did my first forge welded knife. I joined a railroad spike to a old piece of tractor rake I found in the back yard. It gave me more steel to work with and the rake is high carbon so it will hold a wicked edge. This one turned out how I wanted it to, for the most part. Even kind of matches my style of wood work.
Punisher railroaded spike knife attempt. A guy at work loves Punisher so I thought I would try making him a knife. I should have forged it, and I might try that next time. I ended up using a 4” angle grinder because I have not made any metal carving tools. It looks recognizable so I decided to stop while I was ahead.
Spike knife number 4 and 5 these ones actually look cool. They still look rustic but way better then the last one. The curved one feels great in the hand, and I quenched in a brine so it will hold a edge.
