So the palette wood project this time was a guitar stand. It totally changed from what I had originally drawn up, but I like it. It has the feel I like all curvy lines and quirky looking. Like a rocking chair for guitars. I used chopsticks from Jade Garden to put it together. Yep I’m classy like that.
Vicki is collecting flowers to dye yarn again. The yarn pictures are from the last batch.
Did a project with fire wood to try out some new tools. It’s made out of a branch from my apple tree.
I got to teach my wife to turn today. This is her first distaff. She spins a lot so the design is what she wanted and she has been thinking about it while. It feeds upright and upside down. I think she was surprised how well it worked.
Picked apples yesterday. Today I went to a friends house and we made cider all morning. This is my first time making cider. It was really easy, and so fun. His cider mill is beautiful and worked really well. We made about 28 Gallons. Enough for both of us to freeze, drink and ferment. It was really good cider and was a great morning…… I hope to do cider every season till I am too old to do it.
