Did my first forge welded knife. I joined a railroad spike to a old piece of tractor rake I found in the back yard. It gave me more steel to work with and the rake is high carbon so it will hold a wicked edge. This one turned out how I wanted it to, for the most part. Even kind of matches my style of wood work.

Punisher railroaded spike knife attempt. A guy at work loves Punisher so I thought I would try making him a knife. I should have forged it, and I might try that next time. I ended up using a 4” angle grinder because I have not made any metal carving tools. It looks recognizable so I decided to stop while I was ahead.

Finished the cabinet pulls. At least the leaf ones. All different all forged no grinding. Made a couple every now and then as I did other things over the last couple months. I was thinking about Niggle yesterday and decided I needed to get them done…

My first spring steel knife. The handle had a crack in the wood so I had to sand off way more then I intended. That was a bummer but it’s sharp and after hacking at a couple pallets it keeps its edge even when I hit a nail.
