Cool, but a little creepy. One of my bosses at work ordered precast burial vaults minus the top and asked them to cast in some drains. It cost him 90$ a vault plus $10 a vault for delivery. The wood on the bottom was only added so he does not have to bend down at all to tend them. It is one of my favorite ideas ever for a box garden.
