These clusters of mushrooms are sprouting on lawns near dead trees since two heavy rains this week, Does anyone have an idea what they are?
Please check out my last post, I need help identifying some mushrooms. I live in Madison Oh.
Don’t eat gilled mushrooms based on anything form the Internet, including me, but my money is on ringless honey mushrooms need a spore print or to smell them to be sure, but the look and the timing are right.
Today’s walk
Morning walk, found a hen
Mayapples and mushrooms from today’s walk. Mayapples are dangerous learn about them before you try them; for that matter, never eat a mushroom you are not 100% on.

Thanks, I did a survival camp (Hawk Mountain) when I was younger, but got back into it a couple years back because I did not have time for a garden. Best advice I can think to give is to pick a small woods or area of woods with a diversity of terrain and patrol it till you know it as well as you might know your own garden. I harvest mostly from a 3 or 4 acre area of woods. Also avoid gilled mushrooms for year or so till you are used to identifying them. Happy Hunting
The rest of my morning walk found a little hen but I am going to give it a couple days
