This is the only time of year I eat milk weed. I eat just the flower buds. You can eat more then that. The early seed pods the shoots and the actual flowers are all edible after a double boil (or single boil if you squeeze drain the milk). I am not starving so I only eat what tastes good to me and is easy. I boil bread and fry the buds and if I am to late the flowers.
