Staghorn sumac .. Later int the season I will make sumacade and use the berries for a hand full of fun and tasty concoctions, but they will not be rip for while yet. Right now though you can snack on the tops of small shoots. Be aware that this may kill the shoot (often that’s the point ). Just peal the top and pop it in your mouth it should be sweet and a little softer then celery. If not you picked an old one or pealed it wrong. It’s good a trail snack, but I would not go and harvest it. BTW Poison sumac and staghorn do not look alike at all.
